Dying doesn't hurt

“Dying doesn’t hurt – only the pain beforehand. Palliative care can ease it and a hospice offers the dignity we all deserve in our final days.”

Together with the newly opened hospice in Germering we produced a documentary. When the hospice invited the public to the cinema premiere, the reaction was overwhelming: after the credits there was a long moment of silence, followed by heartfelt applause.

At the reception guests discussed the film, hospice work and why talking about death still feels difficult. Local newspapers covered the evening extensively – an important impulse for public awareness.

If the film “Life in the Hospice” helps even a single person overcome their fear, it has fulfilled its mission. It will screen at the Bavarian Amateur Film Festival in October.
